Yusheng – AI Voice Keyboard (語聲 AI 語音輸入法) | Last updated: October 24, 2026 (iPhone re-confirm wording fixed)
Yusheng – AI Voice Keyboard ("the App") is made by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the App handles, why, and the choices you have.
1. What data we handle
Voice
- The App records only after you start talking. In tap mode, from when you tap the mic until you tap again, pause and it sends automatically, or the maximum recording length is reached. In hold mode, while you hold the button.
- The recording is sent encrypted to our server, which passes it to third-party AI services to turn it into text and tidy up the punctuation and layout. The text comes back to your phone and goes into the text field.
- When there's no signal (for example in a tunnel or basement), the recording is kept for now in the App's private storage on your phone (other apps can't read it). Once you're back online it is sent automatically, and it is deleted from the phone after it is sent or after a period of time.
- Our server does not store voice files or the recognized text.
- iPhoneAlways ready: so you can start talking the moment you tap, in any app, Yusheng on iPhone stays ready in the background. While it is ready the microphone is muted: it does not record and sends no sound at all. Recording begins only after you tap to talk, and while it records, the time at the top left of the screen turns orange.
- iPhoneRe-confirm: if Yusheng hasn't been used for a while, or after the phone restarts, the first tap on talk briefly opens the Yusheng app. Please go back to the app you were in and tap talk again. That screen does not record.
- iPhoneLive gray text: uses the iPhone's built-in speech recognition, which runs on your phone, only to show the words as you talk. It is not uploaded.
Edit keyboard and My words
- The keyboard can expand to Zhuyin, English and number keys so you can fix misheard words. The keys you press and what you type are not recorded or uploaded. So the words you usually pick show up first, which candidate you chose is remembered only on your phone (never in password fields) and is not uploaded.
- My words: names, places, terms and accent fixes you've corrected are stored on your phone (there is a limit on how many). You can delete them one by one or all at once on the App's "Me" page, and they're removed if you uninstall the App. When you talk, your words are sent encrypted along with the voice as a hint for recognition, used only that one time and not kept.
- Learning from fixes: when you use the keyboard to fix the sentence you just said, that sentence before and after the fix is sent encrypted to the AI to decide whether to remember it. Only that sentence is sent, nothing else, and it isn't kept afterwards.
- iPhoneAllow Full Access: the keyboard needs this permission to go online to send your voice for recognition and to exchange the recognized text with the Yusheng app. It does not read or record anything else you type.
- iPhoneShort-term storage: the recognized text passed between the keyboard and the app is kept on your phone for at most 10 minutes, then deleted.
Usage data
- To count your free allowance and prevent repeat claims, we keep an anonymous code made by encrypting and hashing your device's identifier, plus how many words and how much recording time you've used this month.
- This code cannot be turned back into your identity, name or phone number.
- Backup and switching phones (optional): you can link a Google account so you can recover your remaining words and invite rewards if you lose or replace your phone. When you link, we only get your Google account's ID, which we encrypt and hash before storing. We do not get or store your email, name or profile picture. If you don't link, we have no Google account data at all.
- Your usage record is deleted automatically 12 months after your last use. If you still have benefits that haven't expired (for example rewards or a subscription), the record is kept until 12 months after they end (as long as you stay subscribed, it is kept). If you linked a Google account or have invite rewards, it is kept for 12 months from your last use so you can recover it when you switch or lose your phone.
- Invite rewards: your anonymous code is matched to an invite code. When a friend enters your invite code, we record who invited whom (as anonymous codes), the bonus words and their expiry date, to hand out the rewards. This data contains no name, phone number or anything that identifies you.
- To prevent abuse, when an invite code is redeemed or a reward is claimed we briefly keep irreversible check data, and use it for nothing else.
- AndroidWhen a friend installs from a shared link, the App reads the "install referrer" from Google Play once on first launch, only to fill in the invite code automatically, and reads nothing else.
- iPhonePayment: subscriptions are paid through the App Store. We never receive your payment details; we only ask the App Store whether a subscription is active.
Technical logs
- For debugging, understanding usage and preventing abuse, the server keeps technical logs without any voice or text content (for example processing time, word count, error messages and daily usage counts), linked only to the anonymous device code, for at most 90 days, then deleted automatically.
2. What we don't do
- We don't read your clipboard.
- We don't record the text or keys you type, including usernames, passwords or card numbers. Voice is turned off automatically in password fields.
- We don't use your location, contacts, photos or call history.
- We don't show ads and we don't sell your data.
3. Third-party services
- AI speech recognition and text formatting services: receive the voice, produce the text, and tidy up the punctuation and layout (the work may be split between more than one provider). We use paid commercial plans; the providers do not use your voice or text to train their models and may keep it only briefly for safety and abuse detection. Data may be processed outside Taiwan.
- Cloud services: provide our server and storage. Data may be processed outside Taiwan.
- Whichever providers we use, they are held to the commitments in this policy.
4. What permissions are for
- Microphone: records when you start talking.
- Internet: sends voice for recognition and checks your usage.
- Vibration: haptic feedback when you press and release. You can turn it off in Settings.
- iPhoneSpeech recognition: only to show live gray text on your phone. It runs on your phone and is not uploaded.
AndroidAndroid shows a general warning for every third-party keyboard that it may collect the text you type. The App does not record keystrokes.
5. Keeping and deleting data
- Voice and recognized text: not kept.
- My words: stored only on your phone. You can delete them in the App at any time, and they're removed if you uninstall the App.
- Usage data: an anonymous hashed code and seconds used, which can't be linked to a person, deleted automatically 12 months after your last use.
- How to ask us to delete your data (including a linked Google account's code): email support@junjun.app with your device code (App Settings → Help → Device code) so we can confirm it's you. We will handle it right away, and Yusheng will finish deleting it within a reasonable time.
6. Children
The App is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes to this policy
If we make a major change, we will tell you with an announcement on the App's Home page and update the date on this page.
